About the Municipality of Dalfsen

Situated on the banks of the Overijsselse Vecht river, the municipality of Dalfsen is a rural community with approximately 30,000 inhabitants. With its largest villages, Dalfsen, Nieuwleusen, Lemelerveld, Oudleusen, and Hoonhorst, the municipality covers a vast rural area and is an active participant in the Zwolle Region. Dalfsen is also a member of the P10, the association of large rural municipalities, and of the Talent Region.

Assignment

The municipality of Dalfsen is developing a well-established and enforceable policy for housing migrant workers. This policy contributes to:

  • the prevention of undesirable living and housing conditions;
  • combating labor exploitation;
  • ensuring equal treatment of migrant workers as full-fledged residents.
  • The project affects multiple domains and requires a cohesive, decisive approach.

The Migrant Workers Housing Project Manager coordinates the project team responsible for implementing this policy. Their responsibilities include:

  • coordinating the inventory of the current housing situation of migrant workers within the municipality of Dalfsen;
  • developing policy and spatial frameworks;
  • drawing up work processes and an implementation plan for supervision and enforcement;
  • involving relevant stakeholders (employers, employment agencies, housing associations, etc.);
  • ensure coordination between policy, implementation and enforcement;
  • monitoring planning, quality, support and administrative decision-making;
  • reporting on progress and results to the internal client and the board.

The requirements

  1. Demonstrable completed education at least at HBO bachelor level
  2. At least 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 8 years as a project manager at a municipality
  3. Demonstrable work experience in the past 8 years with housing issues.
